Conceptually, audits can be classified in a diverse range of topics.
An objective-oriented audit includes

According to the international Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), 'internal auditing is an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve an organization's operations. The objective of the internal auditing , auditing is to support the corporate management for a precise and correct perception of their tasks and obligations on the basis of an objective case-control study on the detection and elimination of risks, losses, deficiencies and weaknesses within the company.
The external auditing , however, comprises 'the inspection of the financial reports/statements either published by joint partnerships and corporations or requested by the Capital Markets Board of Turkey (CBM). Based on the book of accounts and other accounting documents, this audit will be conducted and recorded by independent auditors according to the given auditing standards and principles in order to ensure that the submitted reports comply with general accounting rules and the related data are correct and true.'
